🌍 GLOCAL at World Agri-Tech
Bernardo Milesy and Beatriz Ponce de León attended the World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit in San Francisco, joining over 2,000 global leaders.
The event highlighted major trends like AI in agriculture 🤖, biological inputs 🧬, and robotics, all aimed at building a more sustainable and resilient food system 🌱.
At the summit, we shared insights from our Clean AgriFoodTech Playbook, reconnected with startups like Puna Bio, Verqor, and Calice, and engaged with key partners across the value chain.
➡️ GLOCAL remains active where the future of agriculture is being built and remains committed to providing strategic clarity in a complex industry.
👇 Up next: Chapter 1 of our Playbook.
Our journey into AgriFoodTech began with a simple belief: Latin America has the potential to lead global sustainable food production. Since then, we’ve built deep experience through our first acceleration fund and our second early-stage VC fund. That experience led us to a crucial realization—AgriFoodTech requires a different investment approach.
That’s why we created the Clean AgriFoodTech Playbook, based on five core principles we believe are essential to investing in the region:
📌 Different investment horizons
📌 Adoption is king
📌 Not all sub-sectors are a fit for VC
📌 Additional investment stages
📌 LatAm-specific exit strategies
It’s a deep dive into why we believe AgriFoodTech and venture capital can thrive together in Latin America—and what it takes to make it happen.
